PERU, Lima, gold cob 1 escudo, 1710 H, NGC MS 63 (1715 Fleet Shipwreck Label), ex-McGregor. S-L25a; Cal-1664; KM-35; Fr-10. 3.38 grams. Broad flan with choice full castle flanked by •L• and •H•, bold full date below, also full cross but with some peripheral weakness and die-rust, decent luster and rich color, second finest of just three in the NGC census (the others being AU 58 and MS 65). From the 1715 Fleet, with Sedwick photo-certificate, pedigreed to the McGregor Collection (stated on label).
